Since 1978 EOYDC has worked with underserved youth so that they are prepared for employment, higher education and leadership opportunities. They offer programs and classes from cooking and computers to sports and beyond. Many of the participants, particularly in the summer camp pictured above, are latch key kids in families where often both parents work so the kids are basically on their own. Some more famous alumni include NBA stars Gary Payton and Jason Kidd. Cathy Leong in our Alameda office has worked with the organization since 1991 and along with her husband Kevin will be attending their upcoming 40th anniversary gala in September.
