There’s been a lot of talk regarding the controversial call which recently brought an end to the NFL officials lockout. But the most important thing we can take away from it is highlighted in this article and revolves around doing the right thing.
Doing the right thing is not always easy, and while there are no excuses in not doing so, there are plenty of reasons why people don’t. There are lots of factors involved including egos, money, pride, and of course winning and losing. Particularly in these trying economic times, people often feel pressure to not necessarily do what’s right, but maybe do what appears to benefit them. However, these actions are most often very shortsighted and many times detrimental in the long run.
In any case, we congratulate Mike McCarthy on doing the right thing.
