Like most of the events and activities we’ve done over the years, the idea for this one came from our staff. After spotting and teasing two members of our customer service team for wearing Hawaiian print shirts on the same day, a staff member brought it to our attention and our first ever Hawaiian Shirt Day was born. With prizes ranging from a surfboard to a pineapple, and everything in between, we held a contest for the best dressed and feasted on a traditional Hawaiian meal which of course included copious amounts of teri beef, katsu chicken, kalua pork and lots of macaroni salad. Good fun was had by all and a new tradition was born. Aloha.
